Set up in three steps

Pick the app
Create a free PipMCP account and choose Stonly from the app list.

Paste your key
Enter any text as the username (for example your team name) and your Stonly API key as the password. In Stonly, click the top-right corner to open Team Management and copy your team's API key.

Add the link to your AI
You get a personal MCP link. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor:
1. Click your name, then Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector.
2. Paste your link as the Remote MCP server URL.
3. Switch it on from the + menu in a chat.

What can the AI do in Stonly?

The AI can read the folder tree, subfolders, guides, guide content, user groups and their members, team members and AI agent answers. It can create folders, guides and steps, link steps, ask your AI agent, invite and update team members, add or remove users from groups, and delete guides.

Does the AI see my Stonly credentials?

No. Your Stonly credentials are encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save them, they are not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.

Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?

Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start read-only. Deleting a guide is permanent, inviting someone sends an email, and changing a role or removing a user from a group changes their access. These can require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Yes. In ChatGPT go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced and turn on Developer mode, then add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.

What does it cost?

PipMCP has a free plan with no credit card required. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own Stonly account.

Why does Stonly ask for a username?

Stonly's API uses basic authentication with your team's API key as the password. Any text works as the username, for example your team name. You find the API key under Team Management in Stonly.
