Pick the app
Create a free PipMCP account and choose BotStar from the app list.

Paste your key
Paste your BotStar API token. Log in to BotStar, open app.botstar.com/account/profile and copy the token under API Token. Once connected, the list bots tool shows your bot IDs.

Add the link to your AI
You get a personal MCP link. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor:
- Click your name, then Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector.
- Paste your link as the Remote MCP server URL.
- Switch it on from the + menu in a chat.
Questions
What can the AI do in BotStar?
It can list and read bots, bot attributes, CMS entities and items, and chatbot users. It can create and update CMS items, update bot attributes and user profiles, send messages to users on Facebook Messenger, publish a bot and delete CMS items if you switch that tool on.
Does the AI see my BotStar API token?
No. Your BotStar credentials are encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save them, they are not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools you switch on.
Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?
Yes. You choose which tools are switched on. Sending a message reaches the person at once, publishing makes changes visible to real users and deleting a CMS item is permanent. These can require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged.
Does it work with ChatGPT?
Yes. In ChatGPT, go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced, turn on Developer mode and add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link works in Claude under Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector, and in Cursor.
What does it cost?
PipMCP has a free plan, and you do not need a credit card to start. Paid plans are billed per completed task. You also need your own BotStar account.
Do changes go live straight away?
Bot attributes can be changed in draft only, or in draft and live. Your bot's draft only goes live when the AI runs the publish tool. Turn on approval for publishing if you want to check the draft first.
