Connect Claude & ChatGPT to BoldDesk
Ask your AI which tickets are open and urgent, what a customer has written before, or to draft a reply in BoldDesk. It can create and update tickets, add internal notes, log time, look up contacts, agents and groups, and search and write knowledge base articles. Support questions get answered without clicking through the helpdesk.
Free plan, no credit card. Takes about a minute.
Try asking
“Which high-priority tickets are still open?”
The AI looks up the priority and status IDs and lists matching tickets with subject, requester and assigned agent.
“Summarize ticket 4512 and what the customer has asked so far.”
It reads the ticket and its replies and updates, and sums up the conversation.
“Reply to ticket 4512 that the fix ships Friday, and set it to pending.”
It posts a public reply and changes the status. BoldDesk emails the requester unless the notification is skipped.

Questions
What can the AI do in BoldDesk?
The AI can read tickets, ticket replies and notes, statuses, priorities, contacts, contact groups, agents, groups, canned responses and knowledge base articles, categories and sections. It can create and update tickets, reply to tickets, add notes, log time, create and update contacts and articles, create contact groups and delete a ticket if you switch that tool on.
Does the AI see my BoldDesk API key?
No. Your BoldDesk API key is encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save it, it is not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.
Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?
Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start read-only. Replying to a ticket reaches the customer, and deleting a ticket moves it to deleted tickets. These actions can require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged.
Does it work with ChatGPT?
Yes. In ChatGPT go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced and turn on Developer mode, then add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.
What does it cost?
PipMCP has a free plan with no credit card required. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own BoldDesk account.
Will customers get an email when the AI replies?
A public reply through reply_to_ticket is emailed to the requester unless the email notification is skipped. Notes added with add_ticket_note are private unless they are marked public. Require approval for reply_to_ticket if you want to read every reply before it is sent.
