Set up in three steps

Pick the app
Create a free PipMCP account and choose Botsonic from the app list.

Paste your key
You need a Botsonic plan with API access. Open your bot, go to Share > Get REST API and copy the bot API token, then paste it into both bot token fields. Then create a user API key under your user menu > API Dashboard (Create new secret key) for listing and managing bots. One connection covers one bot.

Add the link to your AI
You get a personal MCP link. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor:
1. Click your name, then Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector.
2. Paste your link as the Remote MCP server URL.
3. Switch it on from the + menu in a chat.

Questions

What can the AI do in Botsonic?

The AI can list bots and read their settings, read and search conversations, and ask the connected bot questions. It can list and add training URLs, FAQs and starter questions, update starter questions, end a conversation, and delete FAQs, starter questions and training sources.

Does the AI see my Botsonic API keys?

No. Your Botsonic API keys are encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save them, they are not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.

Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?

Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start by only reading conversations. Adding training URLs changes what the bot learns, and deleting FAQs, starter questions or training sources is permanent, so those tools can require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Yes. In ChatGPT go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced and turn on Developer mode, then add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.

What does it cost?

PipMCP has a free plan with no credit card required. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own Botsonic account.

Why does Botsonic need two different keys?

The bot API token belongs to one bot and is used for its conversations, training data, FAQs and starter questions. The user API key belongs to your account and is used to list and read your bots. One PipMCP connection covers one bot, so connect again for each extra bot.
