Pick the app
Create a free PipMCP account and choose DocsBot AI from the app list.

Paste your key
Paste a DocsBot API key and your team ID, and optionally a default bot ID. Create the key in your DocsBot dashboard under API Keys and copy it right away, because it is shown only once. The team ID and bot ID are the [teamId] and [botId] in the bot's API URL (api.docsbot.ai/teams/[teamId]/bots/[botId]/...).

Add the link to your AI
You get a personal MCP link. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor:
- Click your name, then Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector.
- Paste your link as the Remote MCP server URL.
- Switch it on from the + menu in a chat.

What can the AI do in DocsBot AI?
The AI can ask your bot questions with follow-ups, search the bot's trained sources and fetch a full source document. It can start, check and continue deep research jobs, rate an answer, summarize a conversation and generate a support ticket draft from a conversation.
Does the AI see my DocsBot AI credentials?
No. Your DocsBot API key is encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save it, it is not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.
Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?
Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, for example only asking and searching. Actions such as starting deep research or rating answers can require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged.
Does it work with ChatGPT?
Yes. In ChatGPT go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced and turn on Developer mode, then add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.
What does it cost?
PipMCP has a free plan with no credit card required. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own DocsBot account with a trained bot.
Where do I find my team ID and bot ID?
Both are in your bot's API URL, which has the form api.docsbot.ai/teams/[teamId]/bots/[botId]/. The team ID is required. The bot ID is the bot the AI uses by default. The API key is created under API Keys in your DocsBot dashboard and is shown only once.
