Pick the app
Create a free PipMCP account and choose WildApricot from the app list.

Paste your key
Type the word APIKEY in the first field and paste your API key in the API key field. In the WildApricot admin view open Apps > Authorized applications, click Authorize application and choose Server application. Give it a name, copy the API key shown under the name, choose Full access and click Save. The account ID is optional: leave it empty and ask the AI to list your accounts first if you do not know it.

Add the link to your AI
You get a personal MCP link. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor:
1. Click your name, then Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector.
2. Paste your link as the Remote MCP server URL.
3. Switch it on from the + menu in a chat.

Questions

What can the AI do in WildApricot?

The AI can read your organization details, contacts, membership levels, member groups, events, registrations, invoices, payments and donations. It can create and update contacts and events, register contacts for events, check in attendees, approve pending memberships and send an email from WildApricot.

Does the AI see my WildApricot API key?

No. Your WildApricot credentials are encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save them, they are not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.

Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?

Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start read-only. Sending an email goes out to real recipients right away, and approving a membership changes a member's status, so both can require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Yes. In ChatGPT go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced and turn on Developer mode, then add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.

What does it cost?

PipMCP has a free plan with no credit card required. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own WildApricot account.

Why do I type APIKEY in the first field?

WildApricot uses the word APIKEY as the client ID when an API key signs in, and the key itself as the secret. PipMCP exchanges them for a short-lived access token for each session. So you type APIKEY exactly as written in the first field and paste the key from Apps > Authorized applications in the second.
