Pick the app
Create a free PipMCP account and choose Texto (SMS) from the app list.

Paste your key
In the Texto app, open Developers → API keys and create a key. The full key is shown only once, so copy it straight away and paste it into PipMCP.

You get a personal MCP link. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor:
- Click your name, then Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector.
- Paste your link as the Remote MCP server URL.

Questions
What can the AI do in Texto?
The AI can send a single SMS or a bulk SMS to many recipients. It can read sent messages with delivery receipts, campaigns, inbound replies, opt-outs, dedicated numbers, accounts and sub-accounts, your credit balance and your messaging report.
Does the AI see my Texto credentials?
No. Your Texto API key is encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save it, it is not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.
Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?
Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start with balance and delivery lookups. Sending SMS reaches real people and uses credits, and bulk sending can require your approval before it runs. Every tool call is logged.
Does it work with ChatGPT?
Yes. In ChatGPT, open Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced, turn on Developer mode and add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.
What does it cost?
PipMCP has a free plan with no credit card required. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own Texto account, and the messages you send use your Texto credits.
Can the AI avoid texting people who opted out?
The AI can list the numbers that have opted out and check a recipient list against it before it sends. Leave bulk sending behind approval if you want to review the final list yourself.
