Set up in three steps

Pick the app
Create a free PipMCP account and choose Mav from the app list.

Paste your key
Paste your Mav API key. Open the Settings page in the Mav dashboard and copy your account API key. The Mav API is available on paid Mav subscriptions. If you cannot see the key, contact Mav support.

Add the link to your AI
You get a personal MCP link. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor:
1. Click your name, then Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector.
2. Paste your link as the Remote MCP server URL.
3. Switch it on from the + menu in a chat.

What can the AI do in Mav?

It can list your SMS playbooks, read a playbook's details, read your account details and create leads with name, phone, email and SMS consent. When it creates a lead, it can enroll the lead in a playbook.

Does the AI see my Mav API key?

No. Your Mav API key is encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save it, it is not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.

Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?

Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start with lookups only. Adding a lead to a playbook can start automated SMS conversations with that person, so creating leads can require your approval before it runs. Every tool call is logged.

What does it cost?

Will a new lead get text messages right away?

It can. When the AI adds a lead with a playbook ID, the lead is enrolled in that playbook, and that can start automated SMS conversations with the person. Check the playbook first and only add people who have agreed to receive SMS.
