Set up in three steps

Pick the app
Create a free PipMCP account and choose Little Green Light from the app list.

Paste your key
Paste your Little Green Light API key. In LGL, go to Settings > Integration Settings > LGL API and create an API key. During the 30-day free evaluation you first have to request API access on that page.

Add the link to your AI
You get a personal MCP link. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor:
1. Click your name, then Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector.
2. Paste your link as the Remote MCP server URL.
3. Switch it on from the + menu in a chat.

What can the AI do in Little Green Light?

The AI can search and read constituents, gifts, notes, contact reports, contact details, memberships and events, plus your campaigns, funds, appeals, gift types, membership levels and team members. It can create constituents, record gifts, add notes, contact reports, contact details and memberships, and record event invitations.

Does the AI see my Little Green Light API key?

No. Your Little Green Light API key is encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save it, it is not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.

Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?

Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start read-only. Tools that add records, such as recording a gift or adding contact details, can require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Yes. In ChatGPT go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced and turn on Developer mode, then add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.

What does it cost?

PipMCP has a free plan with no credit card required. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own Little Green Light account.

Does recording a gift charge the donor?

No. Recording a gift only adds it to Little Green Light, with amount, date, fund, campaign and appeal. No money is charged. In the same way, recording an event invitation adds it to LGL but does not send an invitation.
