Connect Claude & ChatGPT to GoTo Training

Ask your AI to set up a training, sign people up or tell you who attended last week's session, and it answers from GoTo Training. It can schedule, reschedule and cancel trainings, manage registrants, and fetch the organizer's start link. After a session it can list attendees with their time in session, read poll, survey and test answers, and find recordings.

Set up in three steps

Pick the app
Create a free PipMCP account and choose GoTo Training from the app list.

Paste your key
Paste the Client ID and Client secret from your own GoTo OAuth client, then sign in with your GoTo login once. Create the client at developer.goto.com under OAuth Clients, add the redirect URI https://pipmcp.com/oauth/callback and select the GoTo Training scope. The secret is shown only once. You can also add your organizer key, which most training calls need.

Add the link to your AI
You get a personal MCP link. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor:
1. Click your name, then Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector.
2. Paste your link as the Remote MCP server URL.
3. Switch it on from the + menu in a chat.

Questions

What can the AI do in GoTo Training?

The AI can list and read trainings, sessions, registrants, attendees, recordings, tests and poll, survey and test answers, and get the organizer's start link. It can schedule trainings, register attendees, change a training's details and times, cancel registrations and cancel trainings.

Does the AI see my GoTo Training credentials?

No. Your GoTo Training credentials are encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save them, they are not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.

Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?

Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start with reading attendance and results. Cancelling a training deletes it and cannot be undone, and cancelling a registration removes a person from a training. Both can require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Yes. In ChatGPT go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced and turn on Developer mode, then add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.

What does it cost?

GoTo Training connects with OAuth, and this OAuth connection needs the PipMCP Pro plan. PipMCP also has a free plan with no credit card, but it does not include this connection. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own GoTo Training account.

What is the organizer key?

The organizer key identifies your GoTo organizer account, and most GoTo Training calls need it. It is the id field returned by GoTo's identity endpoint for your user. You can add it when you connect.
