Pick the app
Create a free PipMCP account and choose Zoom Team Chat from the app list.

Paste your key
In the Zoom App Marketplace choose Develop › Build App › Server-to-Server OAuth app. Add the Team Chat scopes you need, for example team_chat:read:list_user_channels:admin and team_chat:write:user_message:admin, and activate the app. Then paste the Account ID, Client ID and Client secret from the App Credentials page. The extra headers field is optional. PipMCP exchanges these for short-lived access automatically and renews it.

Add the link to your AI
You get a personal MCP link. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor:
1. Click your name, then Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector.
2. Paste your link as the Remote MCP server URL.
3. Switch it on from the + menu in a chat.

Questions

What can the AI do in Zoom Team Chat?

It can list and search messages, read threads, channels, channel members and contacts, and search the company directory. It can send messages and thread replies, edit and delete messages you sent, add or remove emoji reactions, create, update and join channels and add people to a channel.

Does the AI see my Zoom Team Chat credentials?

No. Your Zoom Team Chat credentials are encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save them, they are not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.

Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?

Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start read-only. Sending and editing messages and adding people to a channel can require your approval before they run, and so can deleting a message, which cannot be undone. Every tool call is logged.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Yes. In ChatGPT go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced and turn on Developer mode, then add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.

What does it cost?

Which Zoom scopes do I need?

The scopes you add to your Server-to-Server OAuth app decide what the AI can reach. Add read scopes such as team_chat:read:list_user_channels:admin for reading, and write scopes such as team_chat:write:user_message:admin if you want it to send messages. Tools that need a scope you did not add will not work.
