Pick the app
Create a free PipMCP account and choose WhatsBox from the app list.

Paste your key
Paste a WhatsBox API key. In WhatsBox open Settings > API Keys, generate a key and copy it. Make sure the key is not disabled.

You get a personal MCP link. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor:
- Click your name, then Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector.
- Paste your link as the Remote MCP server URL.
- Switch it on from the + menu in a chat.
Questions
What can the AI do in WhatsBox?
It can list your channels, contact lists, templates, team members and organization. It can send WhatsApp text messages, media messages with images, video, audio or documents, and approved template messages. It can also create and rename contact lists.
Does the AI see my WhatsBox API key?
No. Your WhatsBox API key is encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save it, it is not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.
Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?
Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start with channels and templates only. Every message the AI sends is delivered to the customer right away, so the send tools can require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged.
Does it work with ChatGPT?
Yes. In ChatGPT go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced and turn on Developer mode, then add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.
What does it cost?
PipMCP has a free plan with no credit card required. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own WhatsBox account.
Why does the AI sometimes send a template instead of a text?
WhatsApp only allows free text messages within 24 hours of the customer's last message. Outside that window, the message has to be an approved template. The AI can search your templates, read the values each one needs and send it instead.
