Connect Claude & ChatGPT to WebWork Time Tracker

Ask your AI who is working right now, how many hours the team tracked this week or which timesheets are waiting in WebWork Time Tracker. It can start and stop timers, add and fix time entries, create projects and tasks, and approve timesheets, leave and manual time requests.

Connect WebWork Time Tracker free

Free plan, no credit card. Takes about a minute.

Try asking

  • “Who is online right now, and what are they working on?”

The AI reads each member's live status with their current project and task.

  • “How many hours did the design team track this week?”

It runs the tracked hours report for this week, filtered to that team.

  • “Which timesheets are submitted and waiting for approval?”

It lists timesheets with status submitted, with member and period, and can approve the ones you pick.

What your AI can do

Time and attendance

Start and stop timers, add, update or delete time entries, see live status and daily attendance, and report tracked hours for up to 31 days.

Approvals

List and approve timesheets, leave requests and manual time requests.

Projects and tasks

Create and update projects and tasks, list tasks by status or priority, and comment on tasks.

  • “Add 2 hours for Anna yesterday from 13:00 to 15:00 on the Website project.”

It finds Anna and her contract on that project, then adds a manual time entry with your times.

  • “Create a task in Website redesign: update the pricing page, urgent, assigned to Tom.”

It creates the task in that project with priority and assignee.

  • “Who was late or absent on Monday?”

It reads the attendance report for that date and lists who was present, late or absent.

Questions

What can the AI do in WebWork Time Tracker?

The AI can read workspaces, members, projects, contracts, tasks, time entries, timesheets, leave and time requests, live status, attendance and tracked hours reports. It can start and stop timers, add, update and delete time entries, create and update projects and tasks, comment on tasks, and approve timesheets, leave and manual time requests.

Does the AI see my WebWork Time Tracker credentials?

No. Your personal access token is encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save it, it is not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.

Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?

Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start with reports only. Approvals and deleting a time entry, which cannot be restored, can require your approval before they run. A token without Write access limits the AI to reading. Every tool call is logged.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Yes. In ChatGPT go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced and turn on Developer mode, then add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.

What does it cost?

PipMCP has a free plan with no credit card required. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own WebWork account.

What is a contract in WebWork?

A contract is a member's assignment to a project, with a rate and a weekly limit. Time on a project is tracked against a contract, so the AI looks up the contract ID when it adds time or starts a timer on a project.
