Set up in three steps

Pick the app
Create a free PipMCP account and choose Way We Do from the app list.

Paste your key
Paste your Way We Do API key. Click the person icon (top right) > Administration > Account > Company Details, open the Integration tab and click Generate one now. Copy the key. Generating a new key invalidates the old one.

Add the link to your AI
You get a personal MCP link. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor:
1. Click your name, then Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector.
2. Paste your link as the Remote MCP server URL.
3. Switch it on from the + menu in a chat.

Questions

What can the AI do in Way We Do?

It can search procedures and users, read procedures with their steps, and read checklists, checklist steps and activity history. It can start a checklist from a procedure, add collaborators, add comments to steps and mark steps complete.

Does the AI see my Way We Do credentials?

No. Your Way We Do API key is encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save it, it is not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.

Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?

Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start by only reading procedures and checklists. Marking a step complete moves the checklist forward for everyone on it, so that tool can require your approval before it runs. Every tool call is logged.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Yes. In ChatGPT, open Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced, turn on Developer mode and add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.

What does it cost?

PipMCP has a free plan with no credit card required. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own Way We Do account.

What is the difference between a procedure and a checklist?

A procedure is the template that holds the steps. A checklist is one run of that procedure, with its own title, status, progress and steps to complete. The AI searches your procedures to find the right one and starts checklists from it.
