Set up in three steps

Pick the app
Create a free PipMCP account and choose Voiceflow from the app list.

Paste your key
Paste a Voiceflow personal access token and, optionally, your project ID. In Voiceflow open Settings › Access tokens, choose Create personal access token, pick a lifetime (up to a year) and copy the token, which starts with vfp_ and is shown only once. The project ID is under Settings › General › Metadata. The environment defaults to main.

Add the link to your AI
You get a personal MCP link. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor:
1. Click your name, then Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector.
2. Paste your link as the Remote MCP server URL.
3. Switch it on from the + menu in a chat.

Questions

What can the AI do in Voiceflow?

It can list workspaces, projects and environments, read agent settings, variables, playbooks, knowledge base documents and transcripts, and count conversations and unique users. It can edit the agent's instructions and global prompt, create and update playbooks, add web pages to the knowledge base, remove documents, query the knowledge base and publish the agent.

Does the AI see my Voiceflow credentials?

No. Your Voiceflow credentials are encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save them, they are not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.

Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?

Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start with read-only tools. Publishing puts the draft live for real users right away, and removing a knowledge base document cannot be undone, so those tools can require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Yes. In ChatGPT, open Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced, turn on Developer mode and add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.

What does it cost?

PipMCP has a free plan with no credit card required. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own Voiceflow account.

Do the AI's edits go live straight away?

No. Edits to the instructions, prompt and playbooks apply to the agent's draft. Users only get them when the agent is published, which is its own tool, publish_agent. You can keep that tool off and publish from Voiceflow yourself, or require your approval for it.
