Connect Claude & ChatGPT to Text Request

Ask your AI who has texted you today, what a customer wrote last week, or to reply to a contact from Text Request. It can send single and group texts, schedule messages, update contacts and tags, and text a customer a payment link. Your business texting can be handled from the chat.

Try asking

  • “Who has texted us today that we have not answered?”

The AI lists unresolved conversations so you can see who is waiting for a reply.

  • “What did +1 555 0100 write to us last week?”

It reads the message history with that contact.

  • “Text +1 555 0100: Your order is ready for pickup.”

It sends the text to that number. This is a real SMS.

What your AI can do

Conversations and messages

Read conversations and message history, send texts, archive or reopen conversations.

Group and scheduled texts

Send one text to groups or lists of numbers, now or later, and see or cancel scheduled messages.

Contacts and payments

Save contacts with tags, groups and notes, and send and track payment requests.

  • “Send tomorrow's reminder to the Members group at 9 am.”

It schedules one message to the group for that time. Every member receives a real SMS.

  • “Save Jane Doe as a contact on +1 555 0142 with the tag VIP.”

It creates the contact with name and tag.

  • “Send Jane a payment request for 80 USD for the repair.”

It texts Jane a payment link with the amount and description. No money moves until she pays.

Questions

What can the AI do in Text Request?

The AI can read dashboards, conversations, message history, contacts, tags, groups, scheduled messages and payment requests. It can send texts and group messages, save contacts, cancel scheduled messages, archive and unarchive conversations, and send payment requests.

Does the AI see my Text Request API key?

No. Your Text Request credentials are encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save them, they are not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.

Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?

Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start by only reading conversations. Sending texts, group messages and payment requests reaches real customers, so you can keep those tools off or turn them on only when you need them. Archiving a conversation and cancelling a scheduled message can require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Yes. In ChatGPT go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced and turn on Developer mode, then add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.

What does it cost?

PipMCP has a free plan with no credit card required. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own Text Request account.

What is the Dashboard ID for?

In Text Request a dashboard is a phone line with its own number. The Dashboard ID tells PipMCP which line to read from and send texts from.
