Pick the app
Create a free PipMCP account and choose Telegram from the app list.

Paste your key
Paste your bot token. In Telegram, open a chat with @BotFather, send /newbot, pick a name and a username that ends in bot, and copy the token BotFather sends you. Add the bot to the groups or channels it should post in, as an admin for channels. People must start a chat with the bot before it can message them directly.

Add the link to your AI
You get a personal MCP link. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor:
1. Click your name, then Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector.
2. Paste your link as the Remote MCP server URL.
3. Switch it on from the + menu in a chat.

Questions

What can the AI do in Telegram?

It works as your bot. It can send messages, photos, files, locations and polls, forward and copy messages, edit and delete the bot's messages, pin and unpin messages, react with an emoji, read new updates, and look up chats, members and member counts.

Does the AI see my Telegram bot token?

No. Your bot token is encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save it, it is not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.

Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?

Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start with reading only. Messages reach real people as soon as they are sent and deleted messages are gone, so sending and deleting can require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Yes. In ChatGPT go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced and turn on Developer mode, then add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.

What does it cost?

PipMCP has a free plan with no credit card required. Paid plans bill per completed task. Telegram bots are free to create with @BotFather.

Can the AI read my personal Telegram chats?

No. It uses the Telegram Bot API, so it only sees messages sent to your bot or posted in groups and channels where the bot is a member and allowed to read them. Your own account's private chats stay out of reach.
