Set up in three steps

Pick the app
Create a free PipMCP account and choose Tally from the app list.

Paste your key
Paste a Tally API key. In Tally go to Settings > API keys, click Create API key and copy it. The key has the same access as your Tally user.

Add the link to your AI
You get a personal MCP link. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor:
Click your name, then Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector. Paste your link as the Remote MCP server URL. Switch it on from the + menu in a chat.

Questions

What can the AI do in Tally?

It can list and read forms, their questions and blocks, submissions and answers, and your workspaces and folders. It can read form analytics: visits, submissions, completion rate and drop-off per question. It can also create and update forms, rename questions and delete submissions.

Does the AI see my Tally credentials?

No. Your Tally credentials are encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save them, they are not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.

Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?

Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start with submissions and analytics only. Deleting a submission is permanent and publishing a form makes it live, so those tools can require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Yes. In ChatGPT go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced and turn on Developer mode, then add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.

What does it cost?

PipMCP has a free plan with no credit card required. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own Tally account.

Can the AI publish a form?

Yes, if you switch on the tools for creating and updating forms. A form with status PUBLISHED is live for anyone with the link. The AI can also create a form as DRAFT so you review it in Tally first, and you can require approval before any form changes.
