Pick the app
Create a free PipMCP account and choose SMS.dk from the app list.

Paste your key
Paste your SMS.dk API key. Log in at login.sms.dk and open your account settings to copy your API key (bearer token).

Add the link to your AI
You get a personal MCP link. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor:
1. Click your name, then Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector.
2. Paste your link as the Remote MCP server URL.
3. Switch it on from the + menu in a chat.

Questions

What can the AI do in SMS.dk?

The AI can send an SMS to one number or to a whole contact group, list contacts, groups and sender names, and check your SMS credit. It can create and update contacts, create groups, and add, move and remove contacts between groups. It can also delete contacts if you switch that tool on.

Does the AI see my SMS.dk API key?

No. Your SMS.dk API key is encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save it, it is not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.

Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?

Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start with lookups only. Sending a text, sending to a group and deleting contacts can require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Yes. In ChatGPT go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced and turn on Developer mode, then add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.

What does it cost?

PipMCP has a free plan with no credit card required. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own SMS.dk account, and the messages you send use your SMS.dk credit.

Can the AI send texts without asking me?

Only if you let it. Every SMS is a real, billable message that cannot be recalled, and a group send reaches every contact in the group. Turn on approval for the send tools, or leave them off and use SMS.dk only for managing contacts.
