Connect Claude & ChatGPT to OneDesk

Ask your AI which tickets are still open, what a customer asked for, or to log two hours on a task in OneDesk. It can search and update tickets, tasks and projects, create customers and organizations, start or reply in conversations, and look up timesheets, users and invoices.

Try asking

  • “Which high-priority tickets are still in progress?”

The AI checks the item types and statuses, then searches tickets with those filters.

  • “Create a task in the Website project: update the pricing page, due Friday.”

It finds the project and creates the task with name, description and planned dates.

  • “Log 2 hours on that task for me, 50 percent done.”

It logs the time entry on the task with start, finish, hours worked and percent completed.

What your AI can do

Projects and time

  • “Reply to the customer on ticket 1203 that the fix is live.”

It starts a public conversation on the ticket, which replies to the customer.

  • “Mark ticket 1203 as closed.”

It updates the ticket's lifecycle status. Only the fields you name change.

  • “Add Nordic Foods as a customer organization with nordicfoods.dk as its domain.”

It creates the customer organization with its name and email domain.

Questions

What can the AI do in OneDesk?

The AI can search and read tickets, tasks, projects, conversations, customers, customer organizations, users, timesheets and invoices, and read your item types, statuses and organization profile. It can create and update tickets, tasks, projects and customers, create customer organizations, log time and start or post in conversations.

Does the AI see my OneDesk API key?

No. Your OneDesk API key is encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save it, it is not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.

Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?

Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start read-only. Posting a message in a customer conversation notifies the customer, and that can require your approval before it runs. Every tool call is logged.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Yes. In ChatGPT go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced and turn on Developer mode, then add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.

What does it cost?

PipMCP has a free plan with no credit card required. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own OneDesk account.

Who can create a OneDesk API key?

Only the OneDesk account owner can generate an API key, under Admin › Integrations › API. Each API key needs a user license in OneDesk.
