Set up in three steps

Pick the app
Create a free PipMCP account and choose MailChannels from the app list.

Paste your key
Paste your MailChannels API key. In the MailChannels Console open Account > API Keys, create a key with the scopes you need and copy it. It is shown only once. Sending also requires your sender domain to be set up with Domain Lockdown.

Add the link to your AI
You get a personal MCP link. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor:
1. Click your name, then Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector.
2. Paste your link as the Remote MCP server URL.
3. Switch it on from the + menu in a chat.

Questions

What can the AI do in MailChannels?

The AI can send email, check a sending domain, create and list DKIM keys and change their status, and add, list and remove suppressions. It can read performance, engagement, recipient behaviour and volume metrics, account and sub-account usage, sub-accounts, top senders and tracking domains.

Does the AI see my MailChannels credentials?

No. Your MailChannels API key is encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save it, it is not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.

Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?

Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start with metrics only. Sending email reaches real recipients, and removing a suppression lets an address be mailed again. Both can require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Yes. In ChatGPT go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced and turn on Developer mode, then add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.

What does it cost?

PipMCP has a free plan with no credit card required. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own MailChannels account.

Why does sending fail for my domain?

MailChannels requires your sender domain to be set up with Domain Lockdown. Ask the AI to check the domain: it reports the DKIM, SPF and Domain Lockdown setup and whether mail from the domain will be accepted. Your API key also needs the scopes for the tools you use.
