Pick the app
Create a free PipMCP account and choose Google Tasks from the app list.

Paste your key
Paste the OAuth client ID and client secret from your own Google Cloud project, then sign in with Google once. In the Google Cloud console create a project and enable the Google Tasks API (APIs & Services > Library). Set up the OAuth consent screen as Internal for Google Workspace, or as External and then click Publish app, because apps left in Testing get refresh tokens that expire after 7 days. Then go to Credentials > Create credentials > OAuth client ID > Web application, add the redirect URI https://pipmcp.com/oauth/callback and copy the client ID and secret. PipMCP renews access automatically after that.

What can the AI do in Google Tasks?
It can list your task lists and the tasks in them, filtered by due date and completion, and read single tasks. It can create task lists and tasks with notes, due dates and subtasks, rename lists, update, complete, reopen, move and delete tasks, and hide completed tasks.
Does the AI see my Google Tasks credentials?
No. Your OAuth client secret and the access from your Google sign-in are encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save them, they are not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.
Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?
Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start read-only. Deleting a task removes it, so that tool can require your approval before it runs. Every tool call is logged.
Does it work with ChatGPT?
Yes. In ChatGPT go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced and turn on Developer mode, then add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.
What does it cost?
Google Tasks connects with OAuth, and OAuth connections need the PipMCP Pro plan or above. PipMCP also has a free plan with no credit card, but it does not include this connection. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own Google account.
Can the AI set a time on a task?
No. Google Tasks only uses the date part of a due date, so a task is due on a day, not at a specific time. Use notes for anything more exact.
