Pick the app
Create a free PipMCP account and choose Frame.io V4 from the app list.

Paste your key
Paste the Client ID and Client secret from your own Adobe Developer Console project, then sign in to Frame.io once. In the Adobe Developer Console (developer.adobe.com/console), sign in with the Adobe ID you use for Frame.io and create a new project. Click Add API, choose Frame.io API, then pick User Authentication > OAuth Web App. Set the default redirect URI to https://pipmcp.com/oauth/callback and the redirect URI pattern to https://pipmcp\.com/oauth/callback. Your Frame.io account ID is returned by the list accounts tool.

Add the link to your AI
You get a personal MCP link. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor:
Click your name, then Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector. Paste your link as the Remote MCP server URL. Switch it on from the + menu in a chat.

What can the AI do in Frame.io V4?

It can read accounts, workspaces, projects, folders, files, file metadata and upload status, review comments, share links, the files in a share and the people on a project, and search assets. It can create projects and folders, upload a file from a public URL, copy, move and rename files and folders, add and edit comments, and invite reviewers to a share.

Does the AI see my Frame.io credentials?

No. Your Frame.io credentials are encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save them, they are not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.

Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?

Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start by only browsing and reading comments. Moving and copying files changes your project structure, and inviting reviewers emails them, so these tools can require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Yes. In ChatGPT go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced and turn on Developer mode, then add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.

What does it cost?

Frame.io connects with OAuth, and this OAuth connection needs the PipMCP Pro plan. PipMCP also has a free plan with no credit card, but it does not include this connection. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own Frame.io account.

Why do I need to create an app in the Adobe Developer Console?

Frame.io V4 signs you in with your Adobe ID, so PipMCP uses an OAuth Web App that you own. You create it once in the Adobe Developer Console, paste its Client ID and Client secret into PipMCP, and sign in. The AI then acts as you, with the access your Frame.io user has.
