Set up in three steps

Pick the app
Create a free PipMCP account and choose RingCentral Team Messaging (Glip) from the app list.

Paste your key
Paste the Client ID and Client secret from your own RingCentral app, then sign in with your RingCentral login once. Sign in to the RingCentral Developer Console (developers.ringcentral.com), open the Apps console and click Create App. Choose REST API App with the 3-legged OAuth flow, enable refresh tokens, add the redirect URI https://pipmcp.com/oauth/callback, select the Team Messaging scope and set access to Private.

Add the link to your AI
You get a personal MCP link. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor:
1. Click your name, then Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector.
2. Paste your link as the Remote MCP server URL.
3. Switch it on from the + menu in a chat.

What can the AI do in RingCentral Team Messaging?

The AI can read your chats, posts, teams, tasks, notes, calendar events, favorite chats and people's profiles. It can send, edit and delete posts, open conversations, create teams and add members, create, update and complete tasks, create and publish notes, and create and update events.

Does the AI see my RingCentral credentials?

No. Your RingCentral credentials are encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save them, they are not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.

Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?

Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start read-only. Posts are sent to the chat members right away, and deleting a post cannot be undone, so these actions can require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Yes. In ChatGPT go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced and turn on Developer mode, then add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.

What does it cost?

RingCentral Team Messaging connects with OAuth, and this OAuth connection needs the PipMCP Pro plan. PipMCP also has a free plan with no credit card, but it does not include this connection. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own RingCentral account.

Why do I need my own RingCentral app?

RingCentral Team Messaging connects with OAuth, so PipMCP signs in through an app you create in the RingCentral Developer Console. You give it the Team Messaging scope and set access to Private, paste its Client ID and Client secret into PipMCP and sign in once. The AI then acts as the user you signed in with.
