Pick the app
Create a free PipMCP account and choose Fundraise Up from the app list.

Paste your key
Paste a Fundraise Up API key. An Organization Administrator must create it: in the Fundraise Up Dashboard go to Settings > API keys, click Create API key, name it and choose Live and/or Test permissions. Copy the key and paste it here.

Add the link to your AI
You get a personal MCP link. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor:
Click your name, then Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector. Paste your link as the Remote MCP server URL. Switch it on from the + menu in a chat.

What can the AI do in Fundraise Up?

It can list and read donations, supporters, recurring plans, campaigns, fundraisers, designations and account events, and see test data as well as live data. It can update donation details, create and update fundraisers and designations, and create Donor Portal and upgrade links for donors.

Does the AI see my Fundraise Up API key?

No. You paste your Fundraise Up API key into PipMCP once. It is encrypted at rest, never shown to the AI and never shown again after you save it. The AI only gets the results of the tools you have switched on.

Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?

Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start with lookups only. A Donor Portal link gives access to a donor's own giving, so the link tools and update_donation can require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Yes. In ChatGPT, open Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced, turn on Developer mode and add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.

What does it cost?

PipMCP has a free plan, and you do not need a credit card to start. Paid plans are billed per completed task. You also need your own Fundraise Up account, and an Organization Administrator to create the API key.

Can the AI change the amount of a donation?

No. update_donation can change a donation's comment, supporter details, campaign, designation, questions or custom fields, but not the amount charged. Fundraise Up also only allows donation updates within 24 hours, and only on donations created through the API.
