Pick the app
Create a free PipMCP account and choose DocuPost Postal Mail from the app list.

Paste your key
Paste your DocuPost API token. In DocuPost open your account settings and the Developer page, click Generate API Token and copy it. You can also turn on Sandbox Mode for API requests on that screen while you test.

Add the link to your AI
You get a personal MCP link. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor:
- Click your name, then Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector.
- Paste your link as the Remote MCP server URL.
- Switch it on from the + menu in a chat.

What can the AI do in DocuPost?
The AI can mail a printed letter through USPS from a PDF link or HTML, and mail a printed postcard from front and back image links. It fills in the recipient's postal address, your return address and options such as color, double-sided printing, mail class and service level.
Does the AI see my DocuPost credentials?
No. Your DocuPost API token is encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save it, it is not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.
Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?
Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, for example letters but not postcards. Each letter or postcard is real paid mail, so both tools can require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged.
Does it work with ChatGPT?
Yes. In ChatGPT go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced and turn on Developer mode, then add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.
What does it cost?
PipMCP has a free plan with no credit card required. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own DocuPost account, and anything DocuPost charges for the mail is between you and DocuPost.
Can I test without sending real mail?
Yes. On the DocuPost Developer page, where you generate the API token, you can turn on Sandbox Mode for API requests while you test. Switch it off when you want real letters and postcards to go out.
