Set up in three steps

Pick the app
Create a free PipMCP account and choose Crelate from the app list.

Paste your key
Paste your Crelate API key. In Crelate open Manage Your Profile and Preferences to find or regenerate it. An administrator must first enable API access for non-admin users. Calls run as your Crelate user.

Add the link to your AI
You get a personal MCP link. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor:
1. Click your name, then Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector.
2. Paste your link as the Remote MCP server URL.
3. Switch it on from the + menu in a chat.

What can the AI do in Crelate?

The AI can search and read contacts, companies, jobs, notes, tasks, placements and applications. It can create and update contacts, companies, jobs and tasks, add notes, add candidates to a job's pipeline and move them between stages.

Does the AI see my Crelate API key?

No. Your Crelate API key is encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save it, it is not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.

Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?

Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start with search and lookups only. Actions that change records, like moving a candidate to another stage, can require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Yes. In ChatGPT go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced and turn on Developer mode, then add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.

What does it cost?

PipMCP has a free plan with no credit card required. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own Crelate account.

Whose permissions does the AI use in Crelate?

Calls run as the Crelate user whose API key you paste, so the AI sees and changes what that user can. If you are not an administrator, an administrator must first enable API access for non-admin users. You find your key under Manage Your Profile and Preferences.
