Set up in three steps

Pick the app
Create a free PipMCP account and choose CMS Max from the app list.

Paste your key
Paste your CMS Max website domain (without https://) and an API token. In your CMS Max admin go to Settings › API and click Create. Give the token a name, for example PipMCP, choose an expiration and click Create. Copy the token right away, because it is shown only once.

Add the link to your AI
You get a personal MCP link. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor:
1. Click your name, then Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector.
2. Paste your link as the Remote MCP server URL.
3. Switch it on from the + menu in a chat.

What can the AI do in CMS Max?

The AI can search and read products, variations, categories, brands, orders, pages, blog posts, events, forms, form submissions and users. It can create and update products, pages, blog posts, coupons and events, create categories, set an order's status and archive a product.

Does the AI see my CMS Max credentials?

No. Your CMS Max API token is encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save it, it is not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.

Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?

Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start with lookups only. Actions such as archiving a product or changing an order status can require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Yes. In ChatGPT go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced and turn on Developer mode, then add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.

What does it cost?

PipMCP has a free plan with no credit card required. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own CMS Max account.

Can the AI refund an order in CMS Max?

No. The AI can set an order's status to refunded, but that only changes the status. It does not move any money. Archiving a product is a soft delete, so the product stops showing in the store without being permanently removed.
