It cancels the order. A cancellation cannot be undone, so it confirms with you first.

These tools are switched on when you connect. You can switch any of them off, or require your approval before it runs.

cancel_orderDeletesCancel an order by `order_name`. This cannot be undone; confirm with the user first.

Pick the app
Create a free PipMCP account and choose CartGenie from the app list.

Paste your key
Paste a CartGenie API token. The Public API is in beta, so first email CartGenie support to have it enabled for your store. Then in the CartGenie dashboard open Settings > API Tokens, enter a name, tick the scopes you need (for example Read products, Read orders, Write orders) and click Create token. Copy the token right away, it is shown only once.

Add the link to your AI
You get a personal MCP link. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor:
1. Click your name, then Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector.
2. Paste your link as the Remote MCP server URL.
3. Switch it on from the + menu in a chat.

Questions

What can the AI do in CartGenie?

The AI can read your store details, products, variants and orders. It can mark orders as fulfilled with tracking, update tracking details, undo a fulfilment, cancel an order and set a variant's stock level, if you switch those tools on.

Does the AI see my CartGenie credentials?

No. Your CartGenie API token is encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save it, it is not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.

Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?

Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start read-only. Cancelling an order cannot be undone, fulfilling an order can email the customer, and a new stock level shows in the live store. These actions can require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Yes. In ChatGPT go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced and turn on Developer mode, then add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.

What does it cost?

PipMCP has a free plan with no credit card required. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own CartGenie account.

Why do I have to email CartGenie support first?

The CartGenie Public API is in beta and has to be enabled for your store before you can create API tokens. Once support has turned it on, you create a token under Settings > API Tokens and pick its scopes. The scopes limit what the token can do, on top of the tools you switch on in PipMCP.
