Set up in three steps

Pick the app
Create a free PipMCP account and choose Carbon Voice from the app list.

Paste your key
Paste a Carbon Voice Personal Access Token. Open the Carbon Voice Developer Portal (developer.carbonvoice.app), sign in and go to Personal Access Tokens. Create a token and copy it right away, because it is shown only once.

Add the link to your AI
You get a personal MCP link. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor:
1. Click your name, then Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector.
2. Paste your link as the Remote MCP server URL.
3. Switch it on from the + menu in a chat.

Questions

What can the AI do in Carbon Voice?

The AI can read workspaces, conversations, messages with transcripts, voice memos, folders, action items and user profiles, and get a conversation summary. It can post text messages and replies, add reactions, create private voice memos, and create, update and delete action items.

Does the AI see my Carbon Voice access token?

No. Your Carbon Voice access token is encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save it, it is not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.

Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?

Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start read-only. Posting a message notifies the members of a conversation, and deleting an action item is permanent. Both can require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Yes. In ChatGPT go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced and turn on Developer mode, then add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.

What does it cost?

PipMCP has a free plan with no credit card required. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own Carbon Voice account.

Can the AI post in my conversations?

Only if the send_text_message tool is on. It posts text messages and replies under your account, and members are notified. It does not record audio. You can leave the tool off or require your approval for each message.
