Pick the app
Create a free PipMCP account and choose Webflow from the app list.

Paste your key
Paste a Webflow site API token and your site ID. In the site's Site settings > Apps & integrations, scroll to API access and click Generate API token, then choose the scopes you need. Only site admins can create one. The site ID is under Site settings > General.

Add the link to your AI
You get a personal MCP link. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor:
Click your name, then Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector. Paste your link as the Remote MCP server URL. Switch it on from the + menu in a chat.

Questions

What can the AI do in Webflow?

The AI can read your site, pages, page content, CMS collections and items, forms, form submissions, assets, domains and Designer comments. It can create and update CMS items, update page settings, reply to comments, and publish items or the whole site. It can also delete a CMS item if you switch that tool on.

Does the AI see my Webflow API token?

No. Your Webflow credentials are encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save them, they are not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.

Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?

Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start read-only. Publishing items or the site makes changes visible to visitors right away, and deleting an item is permanent, so these can require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Yes. In ChatGPT go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced and turn on Developer mode, then add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.

What does it cost?

Does the AI change my live site straight away?

Not usually. New and updated CMS items are staged first and go live when you publish them or the site. Only the tools for live items and publishing change what visitors see, and you can switch those off or require approval. PipMCP stores your site ID with the connection, so the AI never has to ask which site to use.
