Paste your Uptime.com API token. API access is for paid Uptime.com plans. Log in, open the API Token page (app.uptime.com/api/tokens), and generate or copy your token.

Add the link to your AI
You get a personal MCP link. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor:
1. Click your name, then Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector.
2. Paste your link as the Remote MCP server URL.

Questions

What can the AI do in Uptime.com?

The AI can read checks, check statistics, alerts, outages, alert contacts, check tags, status pages, status page incidents and SLA reports. It can create HTTP(S), ping and SSL checks, update, pause, resume and delete checks, and post and update incidents or maintenance on a status page.

Does the AI see my Uptime.com API token?

No. Your Uptime.com credentials are encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save them, they are not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.

Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?

Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start read-only. Deleting a check removes it and its history for good, and posting an incident can email your status page subscribers. Both can require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Yes. In ChatGPT go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced and turn on Developer mode, then add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.

What does it cost?

PipMCP has a free plan with no credit card required. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own Uptime.com account on a paid plan, since Uptime.com only offers API access on paid plans.

Can the AI notify my status page subscribers?

Only if you want it to. When the AI posts or updates a status page incident, it can set notify subscribers so they get an email. If that is left off, the incident is posted without emailing anyone.
