Set up in three steps

Pick the app
Create a free PipMCP account and choose Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud from the app list.

Paste your key
Paste your data center host (for example eu2-cloud.acronis.com), plus a Client ID and Client secret. In the Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud management portal, register an API client as described in the Partner's Guide and save the client ID, client secret and data center URL it shows.

What can the AI do in Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud?

The AI can list and search tenants and users, read user roles, applications, offering items, usage and reports, and download generated reports. It can create tenants, users and usage reports, update users, enable applications for a tenant, change offering items and quotas, and send activation emails.

Does the AI see my Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud credentials?

No. Your Acronis Client ID and Client secret are encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save them, they are not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.

Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?

Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start with usage and reporting only. Changing offering items can change what a customer is billed for, and activation emails reach real users. These can require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Yes. In ChatGPT go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced and turn on Developer mode, then add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.

What does it cost?

PipMCP has a free plan with no credit card required. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud account.

Which data center host should I enter?

Enter the host from the data center URL that Acronis shows when you register the API client, for example eu2-cloud.acronis.com. Only the host name goes in the field, not the full URL.
