Paste your key
Paste a Neural Ledger API key. Sign in at theneuralledger.com and open API access in the member area to create an API key. API access requires an API plan with The Neural Ledger.

Add the link to your AI
You get a personal MCP link. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor:
1. Click your name, then Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector.
2. Paste your link as the Remote MCP server URL.
3. Switch it on from the + menu in a chat.

What can the AI do in The Neural Ledger?

It can search and list news stories, read a story with its summary, sources and linked entities, look up entities and impact paths, list stories for an entity, impact path or market asset, read editorial posts, market tickers and saved searches, and check your API usage. It can also ask the Ledger AI Terminal questions.

Does the AI see my The Neural Ledger API key?

No. Your The Neural Ledger credentials are encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save them, they are not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools you switch on.

Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?

Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start with reading only. Almost all tools only read. Asking the Ledger AI Terminal a question is its own tool, so you can switch it off if you only want search. Every tool call is logged.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Yes. In ChatGPT, go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced, turn on Developer mode and add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link works in Claude under Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector, and in Cursor.

What does it cost?

PipMCP has a free plan, and you do not need a credit card to start. Paid plans are billed per completed task. You also need your own The Neural Ledger account. API access on The Neural Ledger's side requires an API plan.

Can I use my saved searches?

Yes. The AI can list the saved searches on your account, read the filters behind one, and fetch the stories that match it now. You can also narrow the results further by keyword, country, category, entity or tag.
