Connect Claude & ChatGPT to Simplicate

Ask your AI to log three hours on a project, what an invoice contains, or to move a sales opportunity forward in Simplicate. It can work with organizations and persons in the CRM, projects and project services, hours, sales, quotes and invoices, and add notes to the timeline. Everyday admin gets done without switching between modules.

Try asking

  • “Log 3 hours for me on the Acme website project today.”

The AI finds you as an employee, the project, its project service and the hour type, then registers the hours.

  • “What is the status and budget of project Nordic Rebrand?”

It reads the project with its organization, manager, status, services and budget.

  • “Add Nordic Foods ApS as an organization with their VAT number.”

It creates the organization with name, VAT number and any contact details you give it.

Questions

What can the AI do in Simplicate?

It can list and read organizations, persons, projects, project services, hours, hour types, employees, sales, quotes and invoices. It can create and update organizations, persons, projects, sales and hours, create invoices, and add notes to the timeline of an organization, person, project, sale, invoice or employee.

Does the AI see my Simplicate credentials?

No. Your Simplicate credentials are encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save them, they are not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.

Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?

Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start read-only. Creating invoices and adding timeline notes produce records your colleagues see, so these can require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Yes. In ChatGPT, open Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced, turn on Developer mode and add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.

What does it cost?

PipMCP has a free plan with no credit card required. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own Simplicate account.

Which rights does the AI get in Simplicate?

The API token gets the rights of the user it is created for in Simplicate. The AI can never do more than that user, and on top of that only the tools you switch on in PipMCP. To keep access narrow, create the token for a user with limited rights.
