Pick the app
Create a free PipMCP account and choose Simbase from the app list.

Paste your key
Paste your Simbase API key. Sign in to the Simbase dashboard, open Integrations, go to the API tab and create an API key. The API is free to use, but SMS sent to devices is billed to the SIM's rate plan.

Add the link to your AI
You get a personal MCP link. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor:
1. Click your name, then Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector.
2. Paste your link as the Remote MCP server URL.
3. Switch it on from the + menu in a chat.

Questions

What can the AI do in Simbase?

The AI can list and read SIM cards, monthly usage and costs, usage records, SMS history, location updates, plans and your balance, and look up carriers. It can update a SIM's name, tags and limits, enable or disable it, turn auto-disable on or off, reset its connection, change its coverage plan, send it an SMS and register new SIMs.

Does the AI see my Simbase credentials?

No. Your Simbase API key is encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save it, it is not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.

Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?

Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start with usage and status lookups only. Resetting a connection, disabling a SIM, changing a plan and sending SMS can require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Yes. In ChatGPT go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced and turn on Developer mode, then add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.

What does it cost?

PipMCP has a free plan with no credit card required. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own Simbase account. PipMCP is not affiliated with Simbase. SMS the AI sends to devices are billed to the SIM's rate plan.

Can the AI change what my SIMs cost?

Some actions can. Changing a coverage plan can change what a SIM costs, registering a SIM may start charges, and each SMS is billed to the SIM's rate plan. Keep those tools off, or require approval for them, if you only want the AI to look things up.
