What can the AI do in Rentometer?

The AI can get rent statistics, nearby comps and rent history for US addresses, search and read areas, list area metrics, rank and screen areas, run and read batch rent analyses, request and download Pro PDF reports, and check your plan and remaining credits.

Does the AI see my Rentometer credentials?

No. Your Rentometer credentials are encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save them, they are not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.

Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?

Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can leave out batch analyses or area screening if you want. Submitting a batch analysis can require your approval before it runs. Every tool call is logged.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Yes. In ChatGPT go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced and turn on Developer mode, then add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.

What does it cost?

PipMCP has a free plan with no credit card required. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own Rentometer account. Rentometer lookups use credits from your Rentometer wallet, which is between you and Rentometer.

Do lookups use my Rentometer credits?

Yes. Each lookup uses credits from your Rentometer wallet, and API access needs a Rentometer Pro subscription with API access. The AI can check your plan and remaining credits with the get_account tool, and you can switch off tools you do not want it to use.
