Connect Claude & ChatGPT to Quicknode

Ask your AI which endpoint used the most credits this month, why requests are failing, or to spin up a new RPC endpoint in Quicknode. It can read endpoint metrics and logs, usage by chain and method, invoices and payments, and pause or activate your streams. Account questions get answered without opening each dashboard page.

Connect Quicknode free

Free plan, no credit card. Takes about a minute.

Try asking

  • “Which endpoint used the most RPC credits this month?”

The AI gets credit usage per endpoint for the date range and ranks them.

  • “Show error rates on my main endpoint over the last day.”

It reads the endpoint's error metrics for the day period.

  • “What happened in the request logs between 09:00 and 10:00?”

It gets the endpoint's request logs for that time window.

What your AI can do

Endpoints

List, read, create and rename RPC endpoints, pause or activate them, get their URLs, and add tags.

Usage, metrics and logs

See total credit usage and usage by endpoint, chain or method, plus endpoint metrics and request logs.

Streams, webhooks and billing

Read, pause and activate streams, read webhooks, and list invoices, payments, teams and tags.

  • “Create an endpoint for Base mainnet and call it staging.”

It lists the supported chains and networks, creates the endpoint and sets its label.

  • “Pause the transfers stream until Monday.”

It pauses the stream so it stops delivering data. You ask again on Monday to activate it.

  • “List our invoices and payments from this year.”

It lists your Quicknode billing invoices and the payments on your account.

27 tools for Quicknode

These tools are switched on when you connect. You can switch any of them off, or require your approval before it runs.

  • activate_streamVisible to othersActivate (start or resume) a stream by `stream_id` so it delivers data to its destination.
  • add_endpoint_tagChanges dataAdd a tag with `label` to an endpoint by `endpoint_id`.
  • create_endpointChanges dataCreate a new RPC endpoint for a `chain` and `network` (see list_chains).
  • get_account_infoGet your Quicknode account details and plan information.
  • get_endpointGet one endpoint by `endpoint_id`, including its chain, network, label and status.
  • get_endpoint_logsGet request logs for an endpoint by `endpoint_id` between `from` and `to`, with optional `limit` and details.
  • get_endpoint_metricsGet metrics for an endpoint by `endpoint_id`: pick a `metric` (e.g. method calls, credits, response times or errors over time) and a `period` (hour, day, week, month).
  • get_endpoint_urlsGet the HTTP and WebSocket URLs of an endpoint by `endpoint_id`. They include the endpoint's access token, so treat them as private.
  • get_streamGet one stream by `stream_id`, including its network, dataset, destination and status.
  • get_teamGet one team by `team_id`, including its members.
  • get_usageGet your account's total RPC credit usage, optionally between `start_time` and `end_time`.
  • get_usage_by_chainGet RPC credit usage broken down per chain, optionally between `start_time` and `end_time`.
  • get_usage_by_endpointGet RPC credit usage broken down per endpoint, optionally between `start_time` and `end_time`.
  • get_usage_by_methodGet RPC credit usage broken down per RPC method, optionally between `start_time` and `end_time`.
  • get_webhookGet one webhook by `webhook_id`, including its network, filter and destination.
  • list_chainsList the blockchains and networks Quicknode supports, for creating endpoints.
  • list_endpointsList your RPC endpoints, filtered by `search` text, labels, networks, statuses or tags, with paging and sorting.
  • list_invoicesList your Quicknode billing invoices.
  • list_paymentsList the payments made on your Quicknode account.
  • list_streamsList your Streams (blockchain data pipelines), with `limit` and `offset` paging.
  • list_tagsList the tags used to organize your endpoints.
  • list_team_endpointsList the endpoints a team can access by `team_id`.
  • list_teamsList the teams in your Quicknode account.
  • list_webhooksList your Quicknode webhooks (blockchain event alerts), with `limit` and `offset` paging.
  • pause_streamChanges dataPause a running stream by `stream_id`; it stops delivering data until activated again.
  • rename_endpointChanges dataChange an endpoint's `label` by `endpoint_id`.
  • set_endpoint_statusChanges dataPause or activate an endpoint by `endpoint_id` with `status` active or paused. A paused endpoint stops serving requests.

Set up in three steps

  1. 1

    Pick the app

Create a free PipMCP account and choose Quicknode from the app list.

  2. 2

    Paste your key

Paste a Quicknode API key with Admin API access. In the Quicknode dashboard, open API Keys and create a key with Admin API access. Quicknode offers Admin API access on paid plans only.

  3. 3

Add the link to your AI

You get a personal MCP link. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor:

    1. Click your name, then Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector.
    2. Paste your link as the Remote MCP server URL.
    3. Switch it on from the + menu in a chat.

Questions

What can the AI do in Quicknode?

The AI can read your account info, endpoints, endpoint URLs, metrics and logs, credit usage by endpoint, chain and method, supported chains, invoices, payments, streams, webhooks, teams and tags. It can create and rename endpoints, pause or activate an endpoint, pause or activate a stream and add a tag to an endpoint.

Does the AI see my Quicknode credentials?

No. Your Quicknode credentials are encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save them, they are not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.

Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?

Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start with usage and metrics only. Pausing an endpoint stops it serving requests, and that, like creating endpoints, can require your approval before it runs. Every tool call is logged.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Yes. In ChatGPT go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced and turn on Developer mode, then add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.

What does it cost?

PipMCP has a free plan with no credit card required. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own Quicknode account.

Can the AI see my endpoint tokens?

The Admin API key you paste is never shown to the AI. The get_endpoint_urls tool returns an endpoint's HTTP and WebSocket URLs, and those URLs include the endpoint's access token. Leave that tool off if you do not want the AI to see them.
