    It finds the task's loop action and replaces its list of URLs. It can also append the links instead.

  • “Show the data from run batch 3 of the product task.”

    It fetches the rows scraped in that specific run, page by page.

    Pick the app

    Paste an Octoparse API key. In the Octoparse account center, open the API keys page and create a key (it starts with op_sk_). PipMCP sends it in the x-api-key header.

    You get a personal MCP link. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor:

    1. Click your name, then Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector.
    2. Paste your link as the Remote MCP server URL.
    3. Switch it on from the + menu in a chat.

What can the AI do in Octoparse?

The AI can list task groups, tasks and subtasks, check run status, read task actions and fetch scraped data from a task or a single run. It can start and stop cloud tasks, update the URLs or keywords a task loops over, and mark data as exported if you switch those tools on.

Does the AI see my Octoparse API key?

No. Your Octoparse credentials are encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save them, they are not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.

Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?

Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start by only reading data. Starting a task uses your cloud extraction quota, and updating URLs changes what a task scrapes. Both can require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Yes. In ChatGPT go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced and turn on Developer mode, then add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.

What does it cost?

PipMCP has a free plan with no credit card required. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own Octoparse account.

Which Octoparse plan do I need?

Octoparse says most task and data endpoints in its API need a Standard plan or higher. You create the API key yourself on the API keys page in the Octoparse account center.
