Connect Claude & ChatGPT to Vipps MobilePay
Ask your AI whether a customer's MobilePay payment went through, what has been captured on an order, or to refund part of a payment. It can start new payments that the customer approves in the app, capture or cancel reserved amounts and read the full event log for any payment. Your Merchant Serial Number is stored with the connection, so the AI never has to ask for it.

It captures the authorized amount on the payment, which charges the customer.
“The customer returned one item. Refund 199 DKK on order 10452.”
It refunds that part of the captured amount back to the customer. A refund cannot be undone.
“Order 10460 was cancelled before shipping. Release the reservation.”
It cancels the uncaptured payment, so the reserved amount goes back to the customer.

Pick the app
Create a free PipMCP account and choose Vipps MobilePay from the app list.

Paste your key
Log in to the business portal at portal.vippsmobilepay.com, click 'For developers' in the sidebar, choose Production, find your sales unit and click 'Show keys'. Copy client_id, client_secret, the primary Ocp-Apim-Subscription-Key and the Merchant Serial Number (MSN) into PipMCP. If you don't see 'For developers', ask your portal administrator for developer access.

Add the link to your AI
You get a personal MCP link. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor:
Click your name, then Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector. Paste your link as the Remote MCP server URL. Switch it on from the + menu in a chat.
Questions
What can the AI do in Vipps MobilePay?
It can read a payment's state and its event log by reference. It can start new payments, which the customer approves in the app. If you switch those tools on, it can also capture authorized payments, cancel uncaptured payments and refund captured payments, in full or in part.
Does the AI see my Vipps MobilePay keys?
No. Your client ID, client secret and subscription key are encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save them, they are not shown again, not even to you. PipMCP exchanges them for an access token on its own, and the AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.
Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?
Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start with status lookups only. Capturing charges the customer, refunding moves money back and cannot be undone, and cancelling releases a reservation for good. These can require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged.
Does it work with ChatGPT?
Yes. In ChatGPT go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced and turn on Developer mode, then add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.
What does it cost?
PipMCP has a free plan with no credit card required. Paid plans bill per completed task. You connect your own Vipps MobilePay merchant account, so any transaction fees are between you and Vipps MobilePay.
Why does a payment need to be captured?
When the customer approves a payment in the app, the money is only reserved. It is charged when you capture it, for example when the order ships. You can capture the full amount or part of it, or cancel the payment to release the reservation. Refunds are only possible on money that has been captured.
