Set up in three steps

Pick the app
Create a free PipMCP account and choose Lenz from the app list.

Paste your key
Paste your Lenz API key. Sign in at lenz.io, open Developers > Manage keys (lenz.io/api-credentials) and create an API key. Copy it and paste it into PipMCP.

Add the link to your AI
You get a personal MCP link. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor:
1. Click your name, then Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector.
2. Paste your link as the Remote MCP server URL.
3. Switch it on from the + menu in a chat.

What can the AI do in Lenz?

It can start sourced fact-checks, quickly assess lists of up to 20 claims, extract claims from text or public URLs and review whole drafts. It can read your past fact-checks with verdicts, sources, follow-up questions, related checks and certificates, search the Lenz fact library and show your API usage and remaining quota. It can also delete a fact-check if you switch that tool on.

Does the AI see my Lenz API key?

No. Your Lenz API key is encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save it, it is not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.

Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?

Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start with lookups only. Deleting a fact-check is permanent, and starting a new fact-check or asking a follow-up question runs on your Lenz account. These can require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Yes. In ChatGPT go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced and turn on Developer mode, then add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.

What does it cost?

PipMCP has a free plan with no credit card required. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own Lenz account with an API key, and the AI can show your current Lenz usage and remaining quota.

Can the AI check a draft that lives on a web page?

Yes, if the page is public. The claim extraction and draft review tools take either pasted text or a public web page URL. For a draft behind a login, paste the text into the chat instead.
