Pick the app

Paste a Groq API key. Sign in to GroqCloud at console.groq.com, open API Keys and click Create API Key. The key is only shown once, so copy it straight away.

Questions
What can the AI do in Groq?
It can list models and read their details, list batch jobs and files, read a batch and download file contents. It can get chat replies, create embeddings, turn text into speech, transcribe audio and translate audio into English text.
Does the AI see my Groq credentials?
No. Your Groq credentials are encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save them, they are not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.
Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?
Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, for example transcription without chat. Tools that run a model use your Groq account, and they can require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged.
Does it work with ChatGPT?
Yes. In ChatGPT, open Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced, turn on Developer mode and add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.
What does it cost?
PipMCP has a free plan with no credit card required. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own Groq account. Model usage runs on your own Groq account, so anything Groq charges is between you and Groq.
Can the AI transcribe a file on my computer?
The transcription and translation tools take a public URL to the audio file, not a file on your computer. Put the recording somewhere it can be reached by link and give the AI that link. Adding the language or a short prompt can improve accuracy.
