Pick the app
Create a free PipMCP account and choose GoCanvas from the app list.

Paste your key
Paste the Client ID and Client secret from an OAuth application in GoCanvas. Open your profile, create an OAuth application for the Client Credentials flow and copy its Client ID and Client secret. PipMCP uses them to get access tokens, so there is no separate sign-in.

Add the link to your AI
You get a personal MCP link. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor:
1. Click your name, then Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector.
2. Paste your link as the Remote MCP server URL.
3. Switch it on from the + menu in a chat.

What can the AI do in GoCanvas?

It can list and read forms, submissions, submission values and PDFs, dispatches, customers, sites, projects, reference data, departments and users. It can create customers, sites, projects and dispatches, update customers, submissions and reference data, acknowledge dispatches and delete dispatches.

Does the AI see my GoCanvas credentials?

No. Your GoCanvas credentials are encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save them, they are not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.

Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?

Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start read-only. A dispatch can notify a mobile user, updating a submission changes recorded answers, and a hard delete removes a dispatch for good, so these can require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Yes. In ChatGPT, open Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced, turn on Developer mode and add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.

What does it cost?

GoCanvas connects with OAuth, and OAuth connections need the PipMCP Pro plan or above. PipMCP also has a free plan with no credit card, but it does not include this connection. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own GoCanvas account.

What is a dispatch in GoCanvas?

A dispatch is a pre-filled job sent to a mobile user. The AI can create one for a form in a department, assign it, fill in answers in advance and push a notification to the assignee's mobile app. It can also list, read, acknowledge and delete dispatches.
