Paste a Global Exchange Rates subscription key. Sign up at the Developer API Portal (dev.globalexchangerates.org) and subscribe to a plan; a 30-day free trial is available. Your primary and secondary subscription keys are then shown in the portal. Paste one of them.

Questions
What can the AI do in Global Exchange Rates?
The AI can get the latest and historical exchange rates for a base currency, convert an amount at today's rate or on a given date, and list supported currencies and rate providers. It only reads data and cannot change anything.
Does the AI see my Global Exchange Rates subscription key?
No. Your Global Exchange Rates subscription key is encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save it, it is not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.
Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?
Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, for example conversions only. All tools here only read rates and currency data, and every tool call is logged.
Does it work with ChatGPT?
Yes. In ChatGPT go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced and turn on Developer mode, then add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.
What does it cost?

Can I choose which source the rates come from?
Yes. The AI can list the rate providers, such as central banks, by code or country. When it gets latest or historical rates, it can limit the result to one provider, so you use the same source every time.
