Pick the app
Create a free PipMCP account and choose Clay from the app list.

Paste your key
Paste a Clay API key. In Clay go to Settings > Account > API keys (beta) and create a key. The key acts with your own Clay user's access to the workspace.

You get a personal MCP link. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor:
Click your name, then Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector. Paste your link as the Remote MCP server URL. Switch it on from the + menu in a chat.

What can the AI do in Clay?
The AI can check who the key belongs to and your credit balance, read the search and runs query references, start and run company or people searches, run enrichment routines on up to 100 items and fetch their results, query rows from your Clay tables and search past workflow runs.
Does the AI see my Clay credentials?
No. Your Clay credentials are encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save them, they are not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.
Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?
Yes. You choose which tools are switched on. Running searches and routines can use Clay credits, so run_search and run_routine can require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged.
Does it work with ChatGPT?
Yes. In ChatGPT go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced and turn on Developer mode, then add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.
What does it cost?
PipMCP has a free plan with no credit card required. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own Clay account. Searches and routine runs use your Clay credits.
Does it use my Clay credits?
Yes. Running searches and enrichment routines can use credits from your Clay workspace. The AI can check your credit balance before it starts, and you can require your approval for each run.
