Set up in three steps

Pick the app
Create a free PipMCP account and choose UpContent from the app list.

Paste your key
Paste the client ID and client secret of your UpContent API client. UpContent issues these when your client is registered with them, so ask UpContent support for API access if you do not have them. They give access to your own UpContent account only.

Add the link to your AI
You get a personal MCP link. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor:
1. Click your name, then Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector.
2. Paste your link as the Remote MCP server URL.
3. Switch it on from the + menu in a chat.

Questions

What can the AI do in UpContent?

The AI can read your accounts, topics, suggested articles and their full text, collections, collection sources and tags, and galleries. It can create topics and collections, add articles to a collection by ID or URL, rename topics and collections, change a topic's search queries and favorite articles.

Does the AI see my UpContent credentials?

No. Your UpContent credentials are encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save them, they are not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.

Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?

Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start with reading only. Adding articles to a collection or renaming it can change what your newsletter or website gallery shows, so those tools can require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Yes. In ChatGPT, open Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced, turn on Developer mode and add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.

What does it cost?

UpContent connects with OAuth client credentials, and OAuth connections need the PipMCP Pro plan or above. PipMCP also has a free plan with no credit card, but it does not include this connection. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own UpContent account.

How do I get UpContent API credentials?

UpContent issues a client ID and client secret for your own account when your API client is registered with them. If you do not have them, ask UpContent support for API access. You then paste both into PipMCP.
