Connect Claude & ChatGPT to TMetric
Ask your AI how many hours went into a project last month, who is tracking time right now, or to log two hours on a task in TMetric. It can add, change and stop time entries, manage tasks and projects, read timesheets and project reports, record expenses and create invoices from tracked time.
Free plan, no credit card. Takes about a minute.
Try asking
“How many hours did we spend per project in March?”
The AI runs a projects report for the date range, with time and money per project.
“Log 2 hours on the Website redesign project yesterday from 13:00.”
It finds the project and adds a time entry with start and end time.
“Start a timer on the API docs task.”
It creates a time entry with no end time, which runs as a timer until you stop it.
What your AI can do
Time tracking
Add, change, stop and delete time entries, and see the latest entry and who is tracking right now.
Tasks and projects
Create and update tasks and projects, and list trackable projects, clients and tags.
Timesheets, reports and billing
Read timesheets, project reports and time-off requests, record expenses and create invoices.
“Who is tracking time right now?”
It shows who is tracking time at the moment and on what.
“Invoice Acme for all tracked time and expenses in April.”
It creates an invoice for the client from the tracked time and expenses in that period.
“Record a 45 EUR train ticket for today on the Acme project.”
It finds the expense category and records the expense with date, amount and project.

Questions
What can the AI do in TMetric?
It can read time entries, timesheets, tasks, projects, clients, tags, expenses, invoices, time-off requests and project reports, and see who is tracking now. It can add, change and delete time entries, start and stop timers, create and update tasks, create projects, record expenses and create invoices.
Does the AI see my TMetric credentials?
No. Your TMetric credentials are encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save them, they are not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.
Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?
Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start read-only. Deleting a time entry is permanent, and creating an invoice or expense changes your billing data. These actions can require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged.
Does it work with ChatGPT?
Yes. In ChatGPT go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced and turn on Developer mode, then add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.
What does it cost?
PipMCP has a free plan with no credit card required. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own TMetric account.
Does my TMetric API token expire?
Yes. A TMetric API token is valid for one year, and getting a new token invalidates the old one. When you create a new token, paste it into PipMCP to keep the connection working.
