Connect Claude & ChatGPT to TeamRetro

Ask your AI what came out of the last retrospective, which action items are overdue, or how a team's health check looked. It reads retrospective reports and summaries, ideas, actions, agreements and health checks, and can search across all your retros. It can also create retrospectives, health checks, actions and agreements and add ideas and comments.

Questions

What can the AI do in TeamRetro?

The AI can read teams, members, users, retrospectives with their ideas, reports and summaries, action items, agreements, health checks with summaries, health models and templates, and search across retro content. It can create retrospectives, health checks, actions and agreements, add ideas and comments, update retrospectives and actions, and delete action items.

Does the AI see my TeamRetro credentials?

No. Your TeamRetro API key is encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save it, it is not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.

Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?

Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start read-only. Closing a retrospective finalises it and sends summary notifications, and deleting an action item is permanent. Both can require your approval before they run, and every tool call is logged.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Yes. In ChatGPT go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced and turn on Developer mode, then add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.

What does it cost?

PipMCP has a free plan with no credit card required. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own TeamRetro account.

Should I use a team key or an account key?

A team key, created by a team admin under Team > Settings > API, is available on all paid plans. An account-wide key, created by the account owner under Account > Settings > API & Connected Apps, needs an Enterprise plan. Pick the US or EU API host that matches where your TeamRetro account lives.
