Set up in three steps

Pick the app
Create a free PipMCP account and choose Tarvent from the app list.

Paste your Tarvent API key and your Tarvent account ID. In Tarvent open your account settings and create an API key, and keep it secret. Your account ID is also shown in your account settings.

Add the link to your AI
You get a personal MCP link. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor:
1. Click your name, then Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector.
2. Paste your link as the Remote MCP server URL.
3. Switch it on from the + menu in a chat.

Questions

What can the AI do in Tarvent?

It can search your account for audiences, campaigns, journeys, forms and templates, and read audiences, groups, contacts, contact activity and notes, campaigns, recipients, campaign stats, forms, form responses, journeys and tags. It can add, update and delete contacts, change their tags and groups, add notes, create groups, create and update draft campaigns, send test emails, schedule and pause campaigns, and enter or remove contacts from journeys.

Does the AI see my Tarvent credentials?

No. Your Tarvent API key and account ID are encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save them, they are not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.

Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?

Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start with lookups and stats only. Scheduling a campaign and sending a test reach real inboxes, and deleting a contact is permanent. These can require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Yes. In ChatGPT go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced and turn on Developer mode, then add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.

What does it cost?

PipMCP has a free plan with no credit card required. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own Tarvent account.

Can the AI send a campaign on its own?

Only if you switch on the scheduling tool. Creating or updating a campaign only saves a draft. Email goes out when the AI schedules a campaign or sends a test, and you can require your approval before either runs. The AI can also pause a campaign that is sending or scheduled.
