Set up in three steps

Pick the app
Create a free PipMCP account and choose SoundCloud from the app list.

Paste a Client ID and Client secret. You need a SoundCloud Artist Pro account. From developers.soundcloud.com, open 'Create a new application' (Get an API key), enter an app name and description, and copy the Client ID and Client Secret into PipMCP.

You get a personal MCP link. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor:
1. Click your name, then Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector.
2. Paste your link as the Remote MCP server URL.

What can the AI do in SoundCloud?

The AI can search public tracks, playlists and users, resolve SoundCloud links, and read tracks, playlists, system playlists and user profiles. It can list comments, likers, reposters and related tracks for a track, and uploads, playlists, likes, web links, followers, followings and related artists for a user. All tools are read-only.

Does the AI see my SoundCloud credentials?

No. Your SoundCloud Client ID and Client secret are encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save them, they are not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.

Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?

Yes. You choose which tools are switched on. Every tool only reads public SoundCloud data, and nothing is posted, liked or uploaded. Every tool call is logged.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Yes. In ChatGPT go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced and turn on Developer mode, then add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.

What does it cost?

PipMCP has a free plan with no credit card required. Paid plans bill per completed task. To get a Client ID and Client secret, you need a SoundCloud Artist Pro account.

Can the AI upload tracks or like songs for me?

No. This connection reads public tracks, playlists and users. Actions on your own account, such as uploads and likes, are not available.
